Anyone believe in ghosts?

What you experienced is very common phenomenon that the condensation under the cup/glass. I experienced that many times as I frequently order cold drinks in a hot day and hot country. Sometimes me and my colleagues have to catch the glass couple times in a meal to stop them from falling. These frequently happened with plastic glasses.
I have also have a TV related story. The story goes like that, my brother took up a job of removing an old hotel's interior including all the TVs. There were so many that my factory loft filled up in no time. Extras were given to other workers and many TV sets are left in my house. I woke up couple times over next few days with no apparent reason until one night, I actually saw a TV turn on(no TV program showing but on and make noise-just like the horror movies) by itself. I assume it must be bad contacts and brushed off the idea of ghost. So I unplug the power cord, It happened again and not just one TV couple others do the same!!! Since I was a non-believer at the time and research in an Department of Energy lab, I continue to search the answer. I then found out that these old TV will flicker on/off when they are "charged" up. So if I unplug it for couple days they will not flicker anymore. If I were to plug the ac cord back in for a day or so, the flickering will happen again even the cord is unplug. I bought the story back to my lab and the lead scientist told me it's a known phenomenon with old tube TVs. He then point me to some archives in the lab.
However, there are some other experiences of me and my family members that make me at the border line of a believer and non believer of spirituality nowadays.

Not everything can be explained by science and some other theories.Einstein said nothing is faster than the speed of light and now it has been proved that it in fact can be done with neutrinos.We'll find many theories like evolution are flawed and I am a believer of many things like Ufo's and such but keep a skeptic side as well.Alternate dimensions might one day be discovered.Fingers crossed.lol

People have been hunting for proof of all these for decades and have nothing more than accounts from people.
UFOs are different, that is not paranormal. It is entirely likely there is life beyond this planet given the Infinite number of planets. Life after death however, that is nonsense.

That statement seems to be a bit contradictory, your saying there is likely life on other planets given the infinate number of planets, but there is no definite proof of a UFO either. Science is, of course, a "self-limiting method" since by definition science only measures the material world. If there is a strong possibility of life on other planets, life as we know it can exist in a non-phsysical state, having a soul or a concience is a stronger definition of what described being "alive" not just a body per se.
Einsteins theorised that energy and mass are different forms of the same thing, for example energy can turn into mass and vice versa. So there is a possibility that there are forms of "energy" that "exist" theoretically speaking, of course. That may or may not be interperted as a "ghost" as we come to relate the term "ghost" to someone who has died and exists now in non-phsysical form.
There is a logical and basic conclusion that states the simplest explanation for this.
Given the earnest desire of many groups throughout history trying to prove the existence of ghosts and the apparent lack of a single critical piece of proof that confirms the existence I would say it is nonsense.
If these are actually disembodied energy life forms then they would be found to exist. This isn't something new here since people have been expressing "paranormal" experiences for centuries. It has been studied.
However, if this were merely the mental projection of a thought that is imagined to have presence, then you have a condition that only exists in the mind of the individual. Which is completely believable to the person and yet something nobody could study, prove or disprove. There is a field that deals with this, its called theology.

If you read my response I never said disembodied energy LIFE-forms, and theology has to do more with religion, I never mentioned religion. Im speaking of nature's law of thermodynamics, energy can never be created nor destroyed, its "physical" form can be changed but in attributes can not be altered in other words, nothing is really "created" in our known universe. I said there is a possibility of energy that we may in fact relate to a ghost is not really a "ghost". An example is the brain and the mind, two different things, one has physical attributes, the other does not. But they both exist, but the "mind" cannot ever be located, only measured in electromagnetic energy. But we can go on and on.
I dont believe in ghosts, but energy is something else altogether.

You mean to say the brain exists and produces has measurable electrical activity. But the mind is an abstract concept.
Yes theology is the study of religion. But this is one and the same. Religion was formed as an explanation of the unknown without the need of any kind of research and it turned into a form of societal control. However the origin is in explaining things based on emotion tater than fact.

Of all people I would have thought that you would be one of the ones open minded enough to believe. I guess not. There is plenty of proof of the existence of the paranormal. Documented scientific research and proof. Yes, there have been hoaxes but there is proof that paranormal experiences are valid. Try a search may change your way of thinking.

Hey Chief- correct me if I am wrong but you are in law enforcement?.... seems to me a lot of you guys are very no-nonsense, conservative, etc.- yet experience stuff that leads you to believe there is something else out there- due to the nature of being "on the job"--accidents, sudden deaths, etc. cops have to deal with a lot of sh*t the rest of us don't see, and as such might witness strange stuff. I'd love to hear some of the stories...
