Hay how can you compare arods name to nady.... should be more like as many people know arods at 3rd is the same amount that know pedros a pitcher.... honestly though deanos your obviously dont fall into this category cause you seem to know bout your yanks.. but how many yankee fans have you seen say i like the yankees but cant name a player on the team... all they know is 26 WS and that they have a yankee fitted jus tryin to be hiphop..??? id be happier if we swept the phillies or braves over the yankees... least id know we'd get some breathing room in our own division.... as opposed to jus bein able to talk **** to yankee fans...

I'm not going to lie....
I'm not a sports buff, so I probably can't name all the players (of any sport for that matter).
I know what teams I like & root for.

I am not any less of a fan.

So very true...but this "phenomenom" occurs in every sport. How many current Bull fans don't know Hinrich, but root because Jordan and Pippen won 6 championships. Hell, I'm an NY Islanders' fan because of players like Mike Bossy and Dennis (sp?) Potvin, but now, only know Alexei Yashin on the team. That doesn't diminish my enthusiasm whenever they win a game.

I'm a Yankee fan because of the teams in the late 70's, not individual players today.
