Physics, or more specifically Fluid Dynamics. Rising water level creates some buoyancy and the ground already swollen with water pushed it out. Like when a nail pops out of wet wood except much more drastic and impressive.

Hope everyone is doing ok. We Lost power at around 7 AM, but it came back on at 1 PM. No flooding in my neighborhood and very few downed trees. Family, house and tanks are fine.

power finally came back after 14 hours, sadly the siphon broke some time during the night and the tank overflowed slightly before I got it under control. keeping the sump disconnected for now until im sure the power is good.

Lost power this am around 9 came back on 1130 . Lost power at 4 still no power. Don't have a generator but I have a power inverted running off the fees powering a power head and a lamp and charger for my phone but not enough to run my pump

Well... lost power at 2, still no power yet. They say 3 days to a week with no power. Great. I have a bunch of awesome pics I took today but don't feel like uploading and all with my phone so ill wait til I have power and can use my ipad to upload. Let's just so I drove through water so deep my HID fog lights burnt out and someone in the opposite lane drove past and I saw the wave go half way up my window.... this sucks. No power equals no fun

This is a footage shot by my buddy around aug 28th in the neighborhood of Catskills and Margaretville.

I still remember crossing the bridge numerous times last music festival. I think that's one of the only two roads leading the mountain and I bet the other road is just as bad.

Another notable footage in the main street of the town which the Fire(water?) rescue were conducted.
