Hey everyone. I just had to post this because I have a feeling a bunch of the members watch or read the show and wanted to share how much I love these books.
I usually do not read books like this but once I picked up the first book I was hooked. Just finished the 2nd book and if you think the show is good, the books are ten times better!

Anyone into it? If so let me know and we can discuss since it really is "that good"



Anyone who is looking for something to read I highly recommend this series.

I read the books, love them. Haven't watched the HBO series yet but hear its good. Only downside to the books is that it took him a long time to complete the last two books, hopefully we don't have to wait as long for the next. Great storyteller though so its worth the wait.

Best series ever written 10 times better then tolkein just picked up a dance of dragons first few chapters a little slow but showing promise
Did u guys read it yet ?????

My favorite character is tyrion and dahernese (spelling) actually they r all great

Love the books and the show. I have the last 2 novels, but haven't read them yet. It's been awhile and I was thinking of starting over from the beginning.

Last two novels are OK. Very difficult for me to get into. I read the 1st 3 books in like 4 weeks. Last two have taken twice as long.

I started reading them after watching the first season. Major differences and now im glad I am reading the books. I am up to the 3rd book and I love how they keep killing off people. I cant get attached to any character

Theon! That's what I thought! I don't know I'm only like 200 pages deep and im loving it so far

It has never been the same since Lord Eddard died. It is pulling teeth to finish the 5th book.

Did u like first couple chapters??? Who else do u read ? I've tried other guys like Joe abercrombie robin hobb etc... Couldn't get into them

the first couple of chapters i liked but that's only because i thought they would lead somewhere lol

The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss is good. Two books out at the moment. Book one was really good

The Queens Thief by Megan Whalen Turner is good. Four books out and all of them i really liked.

Also the Dresden Files is an enjoyable series, not as well written as Martins works but fun to read.

Oh and the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson - GREAT series last book will come out either end of this year or next year. Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson is really good too.

Read first Robert jorden book but it was just nowhere close to George rrmartin couldn't get through the second
Ill check out the others though
