There's a newer sushi place in GC called kinha next to grimaldi pizza. They have some great salmon toro, yellow tail toro and regular tuna toro.

In cArle place there is west end cafe in the same shopping ctr as pets warehouse
For family style Italian try steves piccolo labussola I've known the owner since inwas a youngster, but go with a group.
On Jericho tpke near glen cove road is a good Italian place called circa.

Wanna try Chinese food in an upscale and large scale restaurant? Grand in New World Mall, Flushing. Banquet or VIP room service is very good. However, for regular dinner, you have to know what to order, I still don't know which is good which is only so so.

DON'T EVER go on a special day like, Mothers Day, Fathers Day and such, they will be SEVERELY under staffed and both food and service will be degraded a lot.
