+ 1 on not keeping the anemone. I too wanted one because my clowns seem determined to host in any of my moving corals but heard horror stories with anemone and small nano tanks. Keep in mind they can move a lot if they are not happy.
The magfloat from Two little fishies is called the nano mag I think. I think most reputable fish stores sell it.
I just ordered it for like $10 shipped thanks...
Def gonna keep an eye on the anemone and my water quality thanks for the advice.
I've got a gonipora I want to get rid of since it's taking up a nice area of my sand bed hopefully the LFS will give me something for it considering I spent $40 on it and go in there weekly.
Just did about a 1.5 gallon water change with the pre-made saltwater from the LFS and cleaned up a bit...especially the back glass. Tank is looking nice if anybody is ever in the area please come by and take a look I never get to show it off!
kind of a mix of photos from the last couple months...
before you flame me for having the tang it is no longer in my tank it was only there for a couple days while my uncle did some re-arranging of his setups.
currently I just have the cleaner shrimp, 2 clowns, anemone, leather toadstool, smaller goniopora and the frogspawn/torch pictured in the second to last picture (picked up today). Sadly, I've lost a few corals along the way but my clowns and shrimp seem happy as ever and my corals at the moment are flourishing.
I would really love to show it off in person and get some feedback so if anybody is ever in Farmingdale...lemme know!
the one goes underneath it when it's closed then seems scared of it once it opens up lol. Boss said it ate a bunch of his fish so I'm hoping it won't eat my clowns but I don't think it will.
That anemone sure looks like its gonna get big.
Great aquascape on the edge. It really us a feat getting good scapes in this tank.
Is that a regal/blue tang in there?
