Actually it fits perfectly. Has about 1 1/2" on each side, and is almost the exact front to back. I'll try and upload a photo of mine today.

Actually it's an odd wattage bulb at 24w. I found someone who is selling a used top to one, so I'm going to remove the current ballast and place in a second 24w bulb giving me 48w. And removing the current ballast from the lid will make things a little cooler. We'll see how well the 48 does...
