My pump is acting wierd. Apon application of ac power the pump rotates clockwise 50% of the time and counter-clockwise the other 50%. It's been running for 6 months flawlessly. Anyone know why? It's a Clark M045 pump.
Thanks

Someone did a spectral analysis of different reflectors, including parallel and perpendicular. Maybe this will be of use.
Well can I assume that if I transport all of my LS and LR to the 125 that my nitrates will go down?
And I thought that bristleworms are good to stir up the sand.
Forgot to mension, Turbofloater 1000 skimmer is on the 125.
See what gets me is that the bioload in both tanks are somewhat equal, if not more in the 45. In any event, the bio load in the 125 is nothing. I just have 3 fish. I do a 25% water change 1 mon in both tanks for the past 1 1/2 years...
I have 2 tanks-
45 gal Reef with 45lbs LR and 2” or so of LS. No sump. Bak pak skimmer.
Not heavily stocked, just some mushrooms and polyps with 3 x 2” fish.
15 small crabs, and a ton of bristle worms.
Used inland aquatics det kit once.
Has been up and running for about 2 yrs.
Nitrates are 0...
Why you cant...

Yeh I think I will go with 3x250W. That's what I've been reading.
I found some good reading -

This one is interesting- reflectors

There was a company out in Maryland that sold used and slighly damaged canopies at a fraction of the price. I forgot the company.
Anyone know of it?
Thanks
I haven't done anything yet because I may turn my 125 into a reef and get rid of the 45gal
So with what I want, what kind of lighting should I get?
4x 175W? 4x250W? 2x250w?
I wish there was a handly matrix of lighting requirements vs tank size/depth.
Thanks
I have the Four-Stage MaxPure MPDI Systems. Works well. Just make sure you get the pressure gauge and a TDS meter, either hand held or the build in one.
