I use Coralife and have from the very start. FWIW - my magnesium is always high, last time I checked it was 1500ppm.

In my effort to boost the alkalinity in my tank the calcium has started to drop. I'm dosing kalk at night and using the two part additive Kent Tech CB every 12 hours. I'm adding 10ml more of the buffer than the calcium. The calcium has dropped from 400 to 320 in the last few days. The alkalinity...

I use the digital timers you can get from Wal-Mart. They work well.

Well I was wanting to connect the float valve to the RO unit in the basement. Now you've got me worried about doing it. How often do these float valves malfunction? Are they not that dependable? I've already got an auto top off under the tank using one of those sensor switch types. It works...

I'm wanting to add a Kent float valve to my sump for water top off. Can you just buy the valve or do I need the whole kit with all the fittings? The kit is like $45 and it looks like more fittings than needed. What comes with only the float valve....can the hose be connected right into it? Thanks!

Sounds like a crab attack to me. I had the same thing happen and it was a crab that was causing the problem.
