  1. Ethics of keeping the blue ring octopus.

People have gotten sick from fragging palythoa
  2. Ethics of keeping the blue ring octopus.

Why is it OK for the general public to have palythoa spp.? Some of these polyps are just as dangerous as the Blue-Ring, and most of the hobbyists keeping them have no clue.
  3. Open Brain losing tissue - what do I do?

I've had the same problem. Stopped when I moved it away from the 'shrooms.

18" with a 175 is too long a distance. For maximum efficacy, you want these bulbs more like 8-6" above the water surface. Otherwise you may as well go with high output flourescents. Getting the bulbs closer to the water will not harm them unless you are super close, like 4-5"

  12. Blue Spot Jawfish Disease

He really is in the freezer. It's been a year and a half since this happened, so I've gained a little more insight. Firstly, at the time, many other hobbyists were having the same problem, we consulted with several marine biologists who did not have answers for us, and could not attribute...
  13. Blue Spot Jawfish Disease

I had the same problem with the same fish. He's been in my freezer for 18 months now. Quarantine worked, but he got sick again after being re-introduced to the tank. I think the problem may have something to do with Benthic organisms living in my DSB. In the wild, these animals have a lot more...
