white liquid? sounds to me like the acid that comes out of batteries, but I don't know. were the moonlights very close to the water? Was there enough liquid to create drops which could have gone into your tank? the only thing I could blame for your loss is this. were the parameters in check...

:smile: and to think that I gave away a mini fridge to my cousin! I'll try the ice pack and fan, I have tons of adapters and computer fans laying around.

ok thanks, so did it work? what was the difference in temperature, I just need to lower my tank like 2-4F*.

it looks great! I have been looking for something like this. can you post pictures showing the whole chiller just so I get an idea of how it should look?

i did that yesterday and I was surprised by how much water evaporated! it was 1 gallon about every 12 hours so it would have been 2 gallons a day if I didn't top off. crazy!:dead1:

I found something that works for me. I first put in, about two bags of ice to bring my temp slowly to 79 form 84. then I put this HUGE fan right beside the tank with the canopy open, so far the tank's temperature seems stable between 79-80*. I will see if I can put portable AC in the living room...

so yeah, I just want to get an idea of what you guys are doing to keep temperature stable. I am just putting Ziplock ice bags, but let me tell you something it is a pain in the AS I am running out of frozen bags and half of them are leacking.:headache:
