You might try this. It got rid of all my alge. I'm telling you your skimmer will go crazy. Just go through the complete cycle like it says. Its called AZ-No3 and PO4_Minus. It is expensive but it will work. Here is the site to get it. But don't quit. If keeping a reef was easy, everyone would...
Dave. thanks for the time you've spent with me on this. Can you explain this pump pressure, volume stuff? I'm not real sure what I can do here. Let me tell you what pumps I'm using now. An Iwaski md70 rlt on the return. An Iwaski md40 rt on the skimmer. An Ocean Runner 3500 on the closed loop...
The chiller needs 425GPH. What I might try to do is use a manifold with a valve to adjust the flow to that side. Do you think that will work? This is an Artctica 1/4hp.

I'm with the King. I spent 640 for the 1/4 JBJ chiller. But I don't have to worry about the heat when the lights kick on now. I would recomend the JBJ. It's small. About the size of my puter. And super quiet. Mine came from the reefking on Ebay. He was cheaper then JBJ Lighting...
I've had one going for about two weeks now on my closed loop. Using a Iwaski md40-rlt. I put my outputs in the front corners. It works great.

I bought the new Arctica chiller and got it going a week ago. This is 1/4 hp. I'm using it on a 110 tall tank. My lighting is 750watts MH. And 384 watts VHO. The temp was getting up to 85 degrees without it. I've never had a chiller before, but I'm impressed with this one. I just set the temp...
Thanks guys for all the input. The new chiller has a auto digital temp control system. The built-in thermostat will turn itself on/off within +/- 1 degree. I'll set it at 79 degrees. So it will very between 78-80 degrees. This is the Arctica chiller. So far I like it.
