Have decided to run biopellets on my 30 long reef tank. Got a BRS reactor which has a cap thats meant to hang on wall...not edge of tank like TLF reactor. I dont use a sump so this has to run off DT. Using a maxi 1200 so need to keep reactor near tank level. Still thinking this through...

Bought this hob remora c used about 2 months ago. It's been running nicely since installing and don't remember that it needed a break in period. Did a water change on Saturday and gave the remora a quick cleaning....quick rinse and wiped off the discharge chute. I noticed it started foaming...

No fish in tank for 7weeks. Was actually running 2 skimmers for most of that period (figured it was good time to break in new remora). Been doing 5 gal weekly water changes which i figure is at least 25% given LR and sand. Tests show no trace of nitrate or phosphate. I don't get it.
