JP, you got me!! I don't seem to remember doing anything different. Other than one night Devious (Phil) mention that he feed 2x a week his RBTA with Silver, and the next-day I went to a LFS and started feeding the LTA & RBTA silver every other day! And notice they were growing fast. Unless there are in Season....but I'm going to research this!
Johnny, I don't think moving makes them split, nor feeding them silversides. I feed my RBTA silversides as well as the mysis shrimps it catches when I feed the fish. I've had mine for a month or more, and it has been moved since then from my main tank to the smaller one in my room. It is has grown, but has not split. If you do find out the reason for it spliting so much I please do post the answer for us.
And yes, your clown looks ticked off.lol
more than ticked off he looks confused. Anyway I also noticed to when I was feeding my GBTA it was growing really fast (It was around 14" in diameter) but it never spiltted. When I transferred him in my 120 within a few days I had 5 GBTA!!!! I guess the shoc made him split.
JP, I have not started my research in what causes these anenome to split. But, I too have notice they tend to split after something caused by some change in water parimeters, temp or lighting.
