My first coral/reef piece. Not sure what it is exactly.

Bought today but not sure what it is exactly. Each tentacle has been about 0.5cm long but now that it has been in the tank for a few hours with water currents they seem to have gotten longer about 1cm long as they sway around.

The bag waters pH was 8.8 (my tank is around 8.2) so not sure this needs to increase?

Also not sure what to feed it (i have
cultures of phytoplankton, copepods and have ordered pelleted anemone food) as well as other frozen and pelleted food for the clown fish that live here too.

It's in the centre of the photo, it came attached to the small pink/purple/green rock.
Also the other green weed/seaweed on bottom left grew on its own (not sure if its a problem weed)

Reefman is correct. Half dead elegance coral. I hope you didn’t paid for that.
Feed it and it may bounce back.

I hope it has bounced back. With moderate-strong lighting and water current the tentacles expand and swell. I try feeding it a variety of food and hope it stays healthy and grows.
Thank you it does look like and elegance coral when open.

they usually like lower light and flow, most are placed on the sand bed or bottom of tank.
