< always went back to t5 the purple plus i really didnt like so i took it off, switch the last blue + and the fiji purple

I run an ATI powermodule and I am not a big T5 fan. It was the right choice for me to keep my tank economical and compact. My corals grew great under T5's and were healthy but the colors get a pastel look. I prefer the rich colors that I was able to get under MH. I think LED's have great potential but until they become more mainstream I wouldn't waste money on the components or spend $$ on a fixture that nobody has heard of (no resale value)

I have some nice deep rich colors from my T5's although not quite as good as the MH, I also noticed more growth out of certain corals under T5's and the some that grew well under the MH are growing slower under T5, Jerl I run mine ATI blue +, ATI blue +, ATI blue special, Fiji purple, ATI blue + and last is ATI Blue Special. I get some pretty good colors out of this.
why do you get better color out of mh?
ya i just dont know if i can get the color i want out of the t5
i do run t5 on my 40 breeder and love the color but the tank is only 12 inches high not 36 like my 125 i am have the problem with

what are you dosing bigger volume of water requires a food soure for your coral every day especially SpS if there not enough food source for the sps you wont have the bright color out of them. Do you do water changes every week ? do you dose AA ? how many fish are in the tank. Whats you tank parameters. Alot of people dont know that high alk and high cal level effect Sps color . Levels nere NSW are alk 6 to 7.5 dkh cal 320 to 400 and mag 1250 to 1300 anything higher than this will effect color in sps

You should be dosing AA every day how many drops what brand .what do you feed your sps and is it every day. And 6 fish in a 120g not enough enough inport for your sps

amino's will cause algea outbreak or cyano is nutrients are low, been there done that when i was doing vodka

Dont have that problem and if you dose to much yes . I have a 75g and dose 8 drops of AA every day with no problems. This may not work for every on . some thing that work for me probably wont work for others but you have to try first.

How big is your tank and is it all sps and how many fish if its alot thats why . You have to feed sps somthing or just have a little nitrates. Your forgetting that you have to have inport and export of nutrient in your tank for sps if not you will loose color or be bland

I seen this setup on a guy tank and it looked amazing it was on the zoevit forum . I would add more fiji purple it has a good par at 335
