And yes I am still skimming since my first post with everyone telling me I needed a bigger skimmer, i borrowed a bigger skimmer and it has been running non-stop ever since....

Well since i was using an aquarium systems skimmer that basically ran out of gas on me and stop skimming half way into this mess i have been using kuyas bak pak skimmer dont know what model but its the newer version and its huge....so and the good thing is its skimming away but to be honest its not even making a dent in this situation...

and like i said i found/figured out some real good stuff/info about my problem and in a couple i will share if it works what the deal was and why...believe me i have all the info....so that if anyone ever goes through this which is and i quote, "a rare condition in a marine environment" we have the info readily available to help solve the green water problem...

and if what i figured doesnt work well its on to breaking down the tank cleaning and cooking rocks etc...for a final attempt.....

no it's not a secret it's something we found that it could work it's nothing really so don't be upset with him saying its a secret. He's just trying a few things before the whole rock cooking and doing the whole tank over again. we'll he'll let you guys know how it goes and he does appreciate all your help. Chris is a friend of mine and I got him into the hobby, so if this thing his trying to do don't work then I'll have to force him to cook the rock and do the whole process again and I can hold all his corals and fish when that happens

Now that he "has something up his sleeve", it's all hush hush. He quotes this is a rare condition in a marine environment, but won't say where he's quoting from. Believe me.....I don't think anyone is "upset."
Just don't see the point of having a secret solution, when alot of people gave advice.
More advice would have probably be given if you stated your next step.

Final Thought....

LoL, This is why I take some things with a grain of salt bc it gets to out of control to easily...Listen for the eleven hundreth time I thank each and everyone of you for suggesting and helping me every time i post i really do, and who ever said its annoying when everyone is taking time to respond needs to step back from the forums once and awhile and breathe alittle fresh air, for me its very annoying this whole green thing and yes it prob is a rare marine condition quoted from a local fish store in rockland, which has to do with many things including to much nutrients in the tank, but water changes and carbon no lighting for etc...only add to it and dont help in any way shape or form....the way to go about it is attacking the problem first hand which i am experimenting with now....and its no secret just didnt want to feel dumb if it didnt work with all the posts on here, thats all...so dont take it personal (the ones attempting to say i am wasting there time for holding a secret) I am on here to learn and share and help others like everyone else....thats what this site is all about.....

The final thought is that i am attempting this one last thing on my own, i have to get it out of my system, if that busts than i will try it the MR way with kuya and whoever else will help me along the way, and well if that doesnt work (which everyone seems to think it will) than i cant really say what will happen next...all i know is that i am giving it my all and so far nothing as cleared this water 1% its not as bad as the first pic i posted but still cloudy light green...This should be an eye opener for everyone being that weird things can and may happen with our tanks and if we have at least one person who has experienced it and conquered it we can all learn from the event....

I'd feel really bad if the method your trying is something that people have tried and found that it may or may not have worked. Maybe you need to do something extra that others may no of. If we're here for sharing, why not share...curiosity kills...
