splitting bubble tip...

just curious, my buddy told me its pretty hard to get a bubble tip to split. your water has to be VERY well and happy so the anemone is completely confertable and ect... i want your opinion because im curious and this is going to end in a twist i bet...

+1 Ive also heard that one the more common reasons for an anemone splitting is stress.

This is how I got my first Rose BTA from a freind.....than I fed the crap out of them.....I started with 1 RBTA, 1 Green BTA and now have over a 15 red BTA's and 4 greens.....this all happened in under three years.

LMFAO!!! Mike Im workin on it bud, mines about 9-10" around up from 4" around 2 months ago. Every night I try to scare it- I turn the lights off, let it be in pitch black for an hour then run around from behind the tank with an LED flashlight- and not just any LED flashlight but my super duper Limited Edition Elevated PAR CREE LED flashlight- shine it on it and scream BOO! as loud as I can, Hasnt split yet, am running out of ideas. LOL

My rbta was the spawn the mother splitting. I fed it about 2-3 times a week and in about 9 months it had split 2 times all at once. I traded all 3 a few months ago.

Anemones are like mushrooms.The more you feed them the better the odds of them splitting. Someone also told me you can cut them but I wouldn't swear to that method. Odds are good if they're happy they'll reproduce

well for about 2 years mine ate whatever left over frozen food there was. about 2 weeks ago i gave it silversides. last night it split 3 WAYS. my 6 clowns are going crazy because they dont know what happened! haha

They usually split depending on water conditions(it feels like when its not supper clean water )I usually get about 3-4 in less then a year which I trade for suplies at local fish store.

my water quality is good. not amazing. high nitrates, thats about it. im trying to watch the video of it. i did a 12 hour record over night cause before i went to bed i saw it acting real weird and streatchy looking and thought it might. im hoping i got it on video and ill post it. im pissed cause i did it on a old video recorder and can only fast foward 1/2x so its pretty much 6 hours of video still. im going to try to get the video and make it faster so everyone can see it triple split!
