Pretty good thanks.
It is back to a fruit stand though. About 3 months ago three things went wrong at the same time (user error) and lost 99% of my acros. pH of 10.3 will do that apparently. The tank is good now, and through the generosity of Kevin Kohen and others in BAR, the tank is fully stocked again, but needs to grow in. I want it to be 6 months from now. Backing up coral in other peoples tanks is damn important!

Oy! This thread never got the disaster update. In December 2008 I made three mistakes at the same time resulting in loss of 95% of the sps corals in the tank. IT was horrible. The pic in my last post is an update to the disaster. I cam home to a pH of 10.5 which I got under control by adding about 1/2 gallon of vinegar, but the damage was done. The next week saw about 1000 gallons of water changes. It was awful.
The tank got back on track quickly with help from Kevin Kohen and all the local reefers that I had distributed frags too. Short story - give away your corals so if you have a major crash you have access to backed up corals. I got frags of almost everything I lost.

Here is a pic of the disaster:

Sorry to hear you went through such stress Rich, but glad things are back on track again. It's still a remarkable looking tank, even with the setback!

It sure is a stunning tank. I love the way you build up and have so much space for corals. Very nicely done. You came back from the crash very fast!

Thanks guys,

The sad part about the crash is that the tank was finally to the point where I was going to be removing corals based on what was growing well and coloring well. Now, I wish, yet again, that the tank was 6 months further along! :D

Your tank looks great! I was wondering - how much time per day do you spend looking at your tank?

Also, what brand of mysis do you feed?

Rich, I've been Googling and I cannot find that brand of mysis ANYWHERE. Is it your house blend, perhaps?

Very tasty looking Rich. It's a pleasure to see a tank that full, but balanced as well. Good to see that some people are able to keep stonies.

Are those Blue Chromis btw? Surprisingly massive Blue Chromis? 8O

Thanks Tom. Its a fruit stand gone to seed!

Those are blue Chromis. Pretty big, but nowhere near full grown. The current fish list is (I think):

4 Chromis viridis
2 Synchiropus splendidus
1 Halichoeres iridis
2 Odontanthias borbonius
2 Pseudochromis friedmani
1 Centropyge potteri
1 Centropyge multicolor
1 Chaetodon marginatus
1 Siganus guttatus
1 Paraluteres prionurus
1 Liopropoma swalesi
1 Zebrasoma flavescens
1 Doryrhamphus excisus
