trying the reverse psychology method now. If I try and grow it it may die off.....

I am still waiting for my new RO membrane to make new water and do a 100% WC and scrubbing.

When I had the algae problem, I tried quite a few critters to help, but the most effective was me. I let it grow a little and reap it.

I see im gonna have to post some pics to give you guys an idea what kinda PITA it would be trying to harvest the HA..I dont want it growing out for the simple reason, its choking my corals...Im currently running carbon, it may not make much a difference but it will definitely keep the water cleaner..What has me baffled with this all, is that i never had this problem until the begining of this year..tank has been up two years...

Did yours Rob? Some of the things that allow phosphate to be rereleased are temp and pH changes.

It may have climbed to 85 a while back. If I remember correctly, I think the algae did start right after that. I run the AC for the tanks now.

It would depend on how saturated your DSB and rocks are with phosphate. Different tanks have different levels, so a temp spike could have different effects on different systems.
