I would say not having the proper advice and knowledge like a reef forum just as Reefs.org to properly guide me in my set-up which cost me alot of money and frustration and ended up tearing the tank down. Johnny

My LFS telling me I could only buy zooanthids as I did not have the right set up for anything else. Which in my book now makes him a great LFS. To bad he went out of business 5 years ago and now I have to drive an hour.

I was like 14 and didn't have much money. My folks got a lot of stuff done thanks to me needing $$$ though. That and most technology was just freshwater with more flow. Luckily the LFS was very nice and honest, and walking distance from home.

I was paying each what they had initially quoted....you don't haggle.

So that's a year of waiting just there....call it 15 months given the time to find these little s****s in the first place.

Still, I suppose it shows that the local economy is strong....and I've learned a lot about chemistry and my fellow human beings.
