Why do women love hermies sooooo much. Let me tell you my mistake was taking her down to the fish store. Oh look at them they're so cute you have to buy one. So needless to say my cleanup crew is not the optimum snails but HERMIES AHHHHHHHHHHH! I once tried to put my foot down and say I was getting rid of them for snails and my girl almost sacked me in the twig and giggle berries!

Here's pics of my hermies for the ladies!

Oh, I thought you meant... never mind.

The hermits are also a big hit with the youngsters. They are pretty fun to watch; I have seen 3-4 get in a struggle over some morsel high up on the rocks, and suddenly the whole scrum will come tumbling off and crash to the sand.

Why don't you set up her own little tank for her so she can have all the hermies she wants. Doesn't have to be a big deal...a 10 gal with sand, a rock & water out of the main tank, & a powerhead, heater & strip light. Who knows how grateful she might be:) Rita

No, most girly-girls are NOT reef-safe! (Very good question, Terry McGee..is that a soft "jee" or a hard "ghee"?)
As a matter of fact, they should come with a warning tatooed on their asses,
"WARNING
NOT REEF SAFE!
use at own risk"

Nice comment SM,
Now are wifes reef safe?

Wait, I know that one already.
What you need to do investigator1, is marry this none reef safe girlfriend and make her reef safe

My wife learned that Hermits are not to be trusted.

hi.
Pay cash for goods in your LFS. Thow away those reciepts. Have a private PayPal account for online stores. That will keep the Queen away from the hobby. When she ask about a new gadget or a new coral/clam, tell her that you just trade in your old reef junks for the new stuffs, and absolutely no effect on the bank account. etc.

Ok. But, did her voice get real high when she saw 'em and exclaimed, "HOW CUTE!"?
 ;)

OP, after a few years with the same excuse, my wife grew to realize that I must have other secret accounts somewhere else.

Yep, 95% of wives are not reef safe. But many are excuses proof for a few years.......you will just have to rotate 'em every so often....

I think you guys have to keep looking. I took my wife to aquatic-reflections yesterday. Not only did we get the giant tonga mushrooms I took her to look at, but a pink acro and orange ricordia rock. Spent twice what I was planning on.

Now if I could only find a big piece of Tortusa(she doesn't go for frags)

Okies, just for the record.

Feminine does N0T equal stupid.

Not usually, no. Vapid is a term I often find aptly descriptive, though. ;)

C'mon, hun, with a nick like "seamaiden" you don't think I'm a dude, do ya?
