I also like the height.As stated above, you can compensate for the height with a deep sand bed.(home depot-southdown sand with some dertrivore kits.)I have done this on my 220 tank(6"sand bed),and I have added wood molding above the bottom tank frame(siliconed glued on the glass) of the tank to hide the depth of the sand.The bottom layers become black/discolored because of the lack of oxigen,butas we know this is good,however unsightly.The molding looks great,and can be made to match your stand.I think you will be happy with the extra wide width also. More surfice area for the sand,and area for clams.Just leave room in the back of the tank for you to fiddle around when it is set up.BTW-If this is a reef tank,be ready for 3x 400 watt MH's with VHO supplement.
