hey thanks for the pics. when i got my 9 for $99 when i had my 55gal i didn't have a digital cam and would have loved to take pics of the stuff
i was impressed w/ the packaging and the quality of the stuff. i got 6 baby bristles in my package and now i have them everywhere and pods to beat hell. definately was worth it for me. the LS activator looks bad (big chunks) but has pods and things everywhere!
overall i was impressed and think it is a must for setting up a new tank to get you off and running!
Yeah, i heard about the flatworms, i checked the stuff over VERY CAREFULLY and didn't find any, but i'm sure some could have slipped thru... I won't be a happy camper if that is the case...
Thanks guys! The CPR refugium's rock, can't say the same for their overflows but these things are right on. Never had any problems with them, the 24" one on the back of my tank grows hair algae like it's going out of style, just keep wiping it off and throwing it down the drain. I'll see how the tang heaven does in it. I'll be using the 12" one for my banggai fry when the pair i have starts to get a clue...
Agreed...that report rocks. It should be linked from the main reefs.org page, IMHO, and updated when others order things that MonkeyBoy didn't. Anyone done anything similar with any other kits like this?
I'll make another when i get inland aquatics kit (but that won't be for some time, january is seaswirl and CA reactor month, time to be broke
)
Lunchbucket, I've cut the power several times and haven't had a back-siphon yet, If you have an overflow and it back-siphons you're all set but if you don't, then you're in for some trouble. I took some pictures of it but i'm having trouble uploading the pics, i'll post as soon as it works.
Thanks! I'd be interested to see the other stuff that I didn't order like mini-stars and those ever so fancy sandbed clams.
