Oh, and an update:
Haven't seen any of the turbo's, seen a few nerites, and have seen the 3 strombus that i threw in the 'fuge. The macro is doing good, no apparent growth yet, but it's early in the game. The live sand activator hasn't stopped being ugly yet but it's getting mixed in well. Friday I'll have the 'fuge in my sump operational and i'll spread out the tang heaven some more and see what it does. I've seen some of the micro hermits cruising around, assuming by the name they will stay small, which would be nice.

Those Microhermits do stay small, I rarely see them change shells. I got my IPSF 99 package 1 1/2 years ago. They'ved changed the selection a bit. Since you got the wonder mud you probably have a few brittle stars. I saw about six when I put the mud in my main tank. Six months later I took a scoop of sand from my main tank and put it in my sump DSB. My DSB is now loaded with brittle stars.

I searched high and low thru the mud, no stars. They used to include them in the kits when i was scoping them out several months ago, but apparently not now

The ministars are seasonal, so they wouldn't be in a batch ordered during the winter. I think I even remember them mentioning that somewhere on their page.
