Feeling of being duped!!

to heck with those Local Fish Stores, they're all practically out of business anyway, driven there by us hobbyists.... but I'll just keep buying used garbage from my "fellow hobbyists" half of whom are out to make a quick buck and screw people over... keep on keeping on folks

Rookie2reef - thanks for jumping in the thread and giving ur side of the story......

All - My intention here was not to gain any sympathy or play a victim game here....all i wanted to share my experience on the lesson learnt by me....and as i mentioned earlier - i did not wish to disclose the reefer name nor give a bad rating.....but i will still stand firmly on my word that i did not even touch the tank to clean it.....i just removed the pump so i can add water to start cleaning....adding vinegar was still not done....thats it!!

Also, pump is attached to the bottom glass and not to the partition to apply any force to remove it....
What surprises me that before even giving a solution....this guy starts with the blame game and talks about not refunding the money......when i didnt even talk about money.....
Anyways, as mentioned by the moderator, we have enough drama on this site and i do not wish to say anything further....

Just throwing this out there.. I have dealt with reef before and he's a cool guy and I have not had a problem with him, I even brought two tanks from him that were used as well. One I have not set up yet the other has been going since the day I got it from him. He let's you inspect everything in front of him do I highly doubt he was trying to get over on someone. No need to post this post as it's just crying for attention. He could have broke it himself cleaning which is most likely what happened because if you are not careful those things do break... If it's happened once why buy again? Just buy a new tank? Can't always believe one side of the story here. I've dealt with reefs like I said and will deal with him again.

Not to mention you have someone who has 50 posts and no ratings compared to someone whos always posting and has all positive feedback.. Makes you wonder eh? Just a thought.

reeflover24/waleedwale - Guys, if you read my post...i am not here to cry nor wrote the post to badmouth rookie2reef or give a bad rating....i didnt even mention his name in the post......all i wanted to share my experience and the lesson learnt.... (not to buy used stuff or to do a water test before buying a used tank)...
