I probably wouldn't go again. It was a very far drive an I really didn't come back with much.
I felt The prices were on the high side compared to all the other swaps I've been to. There were a lot of venders packing up to leave and there tanks were still pretty full.
Just my opinion though

about a 2 hour drive for me in each direction. Prices of some things were high compared to others. Got some nice pieces from people and i would return again. Excited for the upcoming spring swap

I had a great time. I made almost $300 taking pictures, signing autographs and for my appearance. Saw a lot of new and old friends and made a few (probably lost more though). Only downside was this guy 'albano' kept texting me asking how it was. Other than that a great day and good to see The Renegades representing. It was cool seeing the small guys mixed in with the big guys. I can't really comment on the prices as I didn't buy anything but the vendors I spoke to did really well and unlike an earlier comment I think most left pretty wiped out.

One thought though was they should have charged more I think people would have easily paid $5 at the door and perhaps charge the big vendors a little extra. It all goes to a really great cause!!! Also the raffle was awesome (perhaps because I actually won something). There was a guy there that pulled a Kathy and won almost everything including multiples of the same thing but he spent a ton of money.

All in all a good day and a great event!!! As a bonus its right next to UConn so plenty of huskies enjoying the nice weather. My new pickup line at Starbucks is asking if anyone has a lightening cord...

I went,
It was my first time, and I have to tell you that I got pretty uneasy once off the highways - was driving through some of the rural area getting closer to the show. Turned a corner -- then I came upon U CON and :) felt better.

I had a fun time, pretty cool stuff. Not too much of a selection on the SPS, I did, however, spend about $250 of some frags, even got a palmers blue mille (at least that's what the vendor said it was), also a pretty cool zoo covered frag plug.

I also met a bunch of people from MR....

The organizer Jon who is also a science teacher at the high school where the swap is held is not looking to profit from entrance fees. In actuality, the entrance was free for a couple of years prior, I think he did a $1 entrance fee just to keep track of the amount of people attending. (800+ this year)
The FFM originally started out as a venue where hobbyist can bring out their home grown corals and sell them. I believe Jon has a propagation program within the school that is not self sustaining so the nominal vendor fees and raffles sales from generous donors goes toward the funding of the program.

I went I did set up a small Frag tank with some zoas and some sps. I sold almost everything and I did buy a few frags from a few vendor. I do wish there was a little more selection on the Sps but all and all it was a good time and I had fun. I hope anyone who did get a frag from me liked the prices and the frag.
