Nice!! Marrone is volunteering to go to Bed, Bath and Beyond to purchase the trays in bulk.

They're up the block from my, just past the 59th street bridge. I sure the cashier is going to give me a funny look, when I bring up 30-50 ice trays to the counter. I have to tell her I'm having a big party, don't want to tell her it's for fish food.

Choose the Vita that does not include minerals in it. Then, you can isolate the phospahte, sulphate .....

A lot of ppl uses cow heart in their recipe but I think that they are too fat.

You need more than one judge, I volunteer the service too.

I take tuna with a sesame seed, garlic, salt, pepper and soy sauce rub tossed on a hot grill for 1 one minute on each side. You can add a pinch of lemon if you like. Real simple and real good. I also like a blackened sole with a curried spinach and great northern beans but that is a bit more complicated.

LoL Mr. President needs immediate :help:

I buy what ever I can get cheap at the Chinese market that day but usually contains the following:

1. 2 pounds of squid ( I remove the spine, skin, and the ink sac, everything else gets used)
2. 2 pounds of whole shrimp (shell is removed and the antenna is cut off, the head and meat is used)
3. 1 jar (I think is about a pound) of fresh large oysters.
4. 2 pounds of cheap salt water fish, usually mackrell or cod (I will use strip bass on my next batch:))
5. 1 pound of fresh Salmon.
6. large chunk of frozen cycloopze
7. large chunk of frozen mysis
8. 12 or so little neck clams
9. 1 jar of sweet water plankton

Dry stuff and other supplements I put in the blend

1. 15 sheets of nori I cut up into small pieces
2. a handful of ulva (red algae)
3. a handful of dry kelp (the ones used in Miso soup, I soak it in water for few minuets first)
4. half jar of the large can dry fish food (this help bind the finish product)
5. 1-2 oz of Kent Garlic Extreme ( I also have used a whole clove of fresh garlic in substitute)
6. 1-2 oz of Kent Zoe (multivitamins)
7. 1 oz of Zoecon

I don't add any water, in fact I try to eliminate as much as I can. Water makes the finished product have the floating property as ice cubes, it will float around quite a bit and take longer to tho out. I been mixing this formula for about 4 years now and most of my fish likes the blend, or they starve because I don't feed anything else other than an occasional pinch of spectrum pellets.

I tried all kind of ice trays to put the 10 or so pounds of food I make in and I fond they are hard to use when you are dealing with large quantity. I now put about 2.5 pounds of the mixture in 1 gallon zip lock bags and freeze it flat, I cut the slap into 1"x1"x1" chunks for feeding.

yuck!
i dont think the wifey would approve of my doing all that in the kitchen. if i'm cooking it better be for her or else she'll cook the fish for me.

i just feed a variety of foods switching off between them. at least they get a different flavor each meal and dont get bored of the food.

arent the brand foods meant to already be all-in-ones? who says our recipes will be more nutritious than say ocean nutritions or whoever?

That looks like the seafood dinner deluxe with salad!!! Every fish should love it.

Mike, your fish pizza recipe just lost its lead. Got to come up with some new recipe.

My recipe is:

Whatever's on sale at the seafood counter.

I don't add scallops. most of the time there's phosphates added.

Blend most of it. add some formula 1 flake, some nori (from the sushi counter) some freshly made salt water, big chunk of cyclopeze, whole bottle of selcon. Blend till smooth. Be careful you don't blend too much, or it turns to a ball of gook.

add the last pieces of seafood, and hit chop a couple of times so there's some bigger pieces.

freeze in mini icecube trays. I got mine from kmart. they're martha stewart. After she got busted and kmart started dumping her stuff I think I paid $1 for 4.

My fish and corals love them. when House tried feeding his tank nothing ate it. Go figure.

I have tropical themed ice cube trays. Maybe you guys could get fancy and find fish shaped ones. When all the other fish come over for drinks, they will be very impressed!

I don't know...SlammaMarthaJamma has a nice ring to it, and your recipe was very professional...

:)

If you freeze your food into fish shapes, you can market it, and sell it on e-bay! You can have a logo contest to decide your packaging!
