Great stuff!!!

Actually how bright is it under the water? The pics seems to show that the light is not very strong under the water.

Last time I was diving in Cancun, I asked myself the same question. I can see them(fish, coral, seabed) clearly but it seems that there isn't too much light under the water. I was wondering if that was just that day or that particular bay. Tell what's your feeling when you are down there.

I used a canon A540 which had an underwater setting. The setting was suposed to get rid of some of the blue in the water.I noticed that in the shallow shots the light is much better and the deeper you went the darker it came out. I guess with a remote flash some of the deeper shots would have been a little brighter......

Nice to know since I'll be doing the same thing next week, except I'm borrowing a friends similiar Canon camera w/housing.

Can't wait :wink1:

Excellent pics. I spent some time diving there myself, didn't have a camera to take pics though. Really nice job. I'm sure you had a great time.

Nice pics, looks like you had a blast. I bet you snapped a ton of pics, it's so addicting. There's nothing better than seeing fish in their natural enviroment. That blue wrasse seems to be eveywhere i've gone diving or snorkeling. Like the shot of the urchin. Feel free to share more. Good job.
