Anemones, elegance, duncans, Palau Nepthea, fox coral, branching hammer, candy canes, lobos, wellsys, favia, torches, have already recovered. Just waiting on some zoas, sps, chalice, wall hammer, acans, suncorals so on and so on.
I am very hopeful for them.
Top sps were the hardest hit. Some are so pale that I wonder if those are gone, others are quite pale, but have some color, and others are just brown.

I just would like to know if anything leaked out of the pump. I don't think it was stray voltage as the fish are all accounted for, and doing just fine.

Did the poly filter turn color? That would tell you what, if anything was leached -- and it seems like something was.

im surprised noone mentioned this..have you ever had your house electrical panel checked for surging? im surprised to hear abt 2 heaters going bad then 2 pumps at the same time... that seems like too many coincidenses to me.. do you have your pumps on surge protectors? just something to think abt or maybe have checked...

No Randy, it has not changed colors. It's been in the sump a little over 48 hours.

Mike, no we have not had the electrical panel checked for surges, but something to think about. Thanks for the suggestion buddy.
Yes, everything in our house with the exception of major household appliances are on surge protectors.

19 days later, and animals are looking real good, with the exception of the total loss of the mummy eye, and watermellon chalice.;(
Some zoas are still closed, but a life.
SPS that looked totally bleached are still very pale, but I swear I see tini polyps (could be wishful thinking) only time will tell.
The majority of the corals have even grown crazy as that must seen.

Anyway, hoping as this year ends, and the new year arrives the tank will be better then ever.

I was told that I should not install a grounding probe in the tank because of the age of my house, unless I have the house totally re-wired..
Besides I don't believe it was stray voltage, all the fish were are fine.
