Thank you Duke!! It is a good idea on the heater. I know have 2 Ebo Jagers. After troubles with visi, stealth, and won brother heaters I am hoping the Ebo's proof to be reliable. Don't get me wrong I don't completely trust them either.:sigh:

Yes that is a long time, but they weren't running 24/7.LOL

You know Duke, I was actually thinking along those lines of never ever purchasing used again. But I thought of equipment that I did purchase used, and they were great. This is just something that would have happened regardless.

I am now just hoping the best all with exception of the fish seem kinda po.

LOL Sorry, I should've elaborated. What I meant is that some times they were not in use. The only one always in use has been the one in the ATO, which also doesn't run 24/7.

so...u mean they were off while water changes and maybe feeding? lol im sorry im still confused as to why they were off. i mean i always turned mine off when i was doing water changes thats about it oh and feeding time. thats about it.

LOL, nah. I mean some where in storage. The maxi in storage til approximately 2 or 3 months ago. The sedra had been in storage til a few months ago, just brought it back out when I sold the BM250.
Only pumps running 24/7 are the koralias, and return pumps.

sorry to read about this Awi....water changes, and change the carbon often....can't believe it was a MJ..they are my most dependable pumps ...a few over ten years old..I have seven 1200s running on my tanks...just have to clean them once inawhile.

Thank you Mike! The maxi was not smoking, it just wasn't running.

The Sedra is the one that when I pulled it out of the sump it was smoking from both the intake, and the discharge.

Did 40 gallon w/c, and got the carbon going. Tank is still a little cloudy, most of the corals are not happy, fish seem to not be disturbed at all.

Couldn't find an LFS that had poly pads yesterday evening, at least not nearby. This morning I'm going to Carl Place to PW to get some.

My anger comes from the fact that just as I get everything back on track some stupid problem that I had no control over happens. Not only do I loose a few SPS, but they have to be the biggest, oldest, and most beautiful in the tank. I am not a control freak, but this is ridiculous.
Tony, I agree, but it seems that lately I am being forced to "bounce back" a little to much.
Anyway, off I go to buy some Poly-Filter....

Tank is still a little cloudy, hope the Poly-Filter works.

12 X 12 Poly-Filter in the sump by the drains! Sedra KS3500 & MaxiJet 1200 replacement pumps have been ordered from Marine Depot.

Nope! Not even yesterday when I took it apart, and left it in the downstairs bathroom sink. I think I would have noticed it. But that is how it looked today.
I would imagine not.
