back to school
I forgot how I used to not like september.
now I love it because it means my electric bill will go down again,

O0o0o0o0o how i hate september..only a few more years of school..then freedom...no wait i mean work!

I think school may be the better deal when compared to work. the only drawback is you have less time to work and make money $$$.

well you'll just have to hustle to afford all the goodies for your tank.

hmmmmm...me I'm just in it for the corals now. Everythings right where I want it to be, for once since I've been in this hobby. :icon16:....its all about the zoa's!

I guess I'd rather be working once its something that I want to be doing and then I'll have money of my own to support the hobby rather than moochin off the parents...:bigeyes2:

john that thing is like 400 watt, that im scared of, i dont know if it's 400 watt for the heater, but sure as hell im scared of killing my electric LOL,

BTW what SG do you guys use for your tanks? 30PPT? or higher? i dont know what i should use, but is it one cup for every gallon? or half cup for every gallon?

you'll have to see after the first bill comes in.
I bet you will be pretty nervous till then.

I keep my tank at 1.025 according to my handy refractometer. not to high not to low, just right at least the fish seem to like it.
as for measuring the salt each one can be different from what i found, it's around a half cup per gallon though.

damn right john im nervous about this bill, i just hope this thing can keep my temp down and stays that way, the next upgrade for this tank is the same size footprint but taller, so i can use the same equipment and whatnot, that will probably have to wait for next year, im pretty excited about the tank and all already, hopefully it will grow like yours :p

Worst comes to worst i'd go to sleep in the sleeping dolphin lounge, yes collge keeps us kids nice and lazy; they even supply us beds LOL!

if your that nervous about the e bill I would get the kill a watt and see what the chiller is going to cost to run. it would at least let you sleep at night and not be in a cold sweat waiting for the bill to come and your mom to hit you in the back of your head

Dave, I'm praying your right. Monday and Wednesday I get out by 12:30 and tuesdays and thursday i get out at 4:30....but with a huge 3 hours break in the middle. Everyday I start at 8:40 so it'll be no LNT for me...But I hope I can still have my free time...dont wanna be stuck on the books...argghhh just gotta wait and see what its like...
