I spent a good deal of time on my tank today and yesterday.
after I got the sps back into the tank I looked at old pics of them,
they really have browned out

I'm hoping they don't take long to color up soon.

sorry to hear they browned out but with the way your stuff grows you'll have color bac in no time and HUGE colonies in even less...heh

I say give them 3 weeks at the most and they'll be bac to normal..but im just taking a stab in the dark on that one...i have probably only a little clue what it takes to color back up...

I'm tempted to say wtf and get some new Mh's to help them along,
maybe some nice 400's on each end that would be sweet. most likely it will be plain old 250's.

Dave, I'm not sure about this but i think those chillers have trouble pulling down the tank temp if the ambient temp is high. I know your basement does not get hot, so you should be fine. I looked into a larger version of those and I remember reading that they would not work for my application. they are energy efficiant so you should not see an increase in the e bill too much.

BTW what SG do you guys use for your tanks? 30PPT? or higher? i dont know what i should use, but is it one cup for every gallon? or half cup for every gallon?
