I have 2 24" 600 series fixtures on my 60" 110 gallon tank. They work great and look great. Big layout upfron though they should last 10 years
Man! I'm getting so many mixed opinions. I really like the AI's, but very undecided. It's a huge chunk of change to buy any of these. Any more opinions on these lights would be greatly appreciated.I have the acan 104c on my main system (210 gallons) and the 600 series on my frag tanks. After I installed them on my main tank, I noticed a crazy amount of growth, very fast and my corals seemed to be very happy. Thats when I decided to add them to my frag tanks. I have an acro on my sand bed that tripled in size in three months. All the other corals have grown just as much, its just that I was very impressed with the sps growth on the bottom of my tank. I am happy with these lights
I appreciate the info about your experience with the Acan LED. I think I'm leaning towards the AI's. I'm looking into finding someone who could mod the AI rail, so it isn't so close to the tank. That is my only gripe with the AI fixtures. The legs are way to short. I do not have the option of hanging from the ceiling, as my ceiling is 20 feet tall. Any ideas on someone that could mod the legs on a AI unit?I don't like talking bad about products but I had a Acan led facture for a year 1/2 the fixture was nothing but problems after 6 months. I had several led blow out on me and the main board went 3 times on me, I think it due to no cooling fans in there fixture. One big problem with there fixtures is par after 8 months I measured par again , lost alot of par in only 8 months and in not talking about 10 15% im talking about almost 25% par lost. Again a big problem due to cooling problems. I now have a AI Solo blue and its been about 9 months now and no problem and par reading are still great . Stick with fixtures that have Cree leds only.
