Marvin are those pictures taken with flash?
yes. I used to take pics without flash and colors where off. with flash, I find that the colors show up better. I'm yet to get an external flash, so I'm assuming that the indirect flash will produce better quality pics for me later down the road. my buddy, gparr, takes awesome fish pics and he told me the best way to get fish pics is by using flash. I tried it, and guess what, he was right. :)

I shoot on Manual mode with f-stop a f8-f11 and ISO either 400 or 800. I use a Canon T2i.

wow, i'm a big fan of fairy wrasses!!! Mavins, that is a impressive collection you have there..
Thank you. :)

Marv few questions, seeing your flames are so close in sex and size and same with the lint's how well do they play together ? also what size is your tank
some present and some past wrasse's will load more later
I started out with 2 female HI Flames on Oct 2009, they stayed female for a few months but when decided to turn male, the other followed shortly after. both have co existed as males for over a year now? here's a vid of them flashing each other, a nightly routine that is fun to watch. I think they just understand each other's boundaries. if one gets hurt, he just hides and it's like nothing happens the next day. hope it stays this way. if not, I'm ready to remove one of them.

Sure is fast. I have a couple pics but they are just a pink and orange blur. I think feeding time is the time to get him though. He spends the whole time flashing at my poor 1 1/2" baby Occelaris or Blennies.
glad he's performing for you though. must be fun to watch the show. :)

maybe take a vid of him flashing. might be easier than trying to take a still photo. :)
