Captive bred Yellow Tangs

I saw that on the tank labeled as captive bred at AF too... perhaps the LFS wrote the wrong thing. Pet stores/LFS always has a lot of kids in hs working there who don't really know the exact difference between "captive bred" and "captive raised". Last week at Petco everyone who worked in there (including this "fish expert" and the assistant manager) told me that a gold rim tang was a powder brown. Then when I pointed out the different looks they had he said that the gold rim doesn't have to have the colors that the powder brown had. Then he said maybe it's a naso. Then I pointed out the differences again and he said it could look like that as a juvi.

I just got back from AF. The tank is labeled as Yellow Tang (Captive) 49.99.

I asked one of the sales person if they were captive bred. He said. "No...they are captive raised. I don't think they could breed them in captivity". If the tank was labeled "Captive Bred" they must have changed it.

Their wild caught yellows are 64.99.

well anyway...lets just end this...that store has a lot of kids working there that probably dont know too much...so captive bred captive born or captive raised ....its not anything to fight about ....we talked we got to the bottom of it and now its over.....so a how bout those yankee's...lol....later guys....
