Also by removing the fish from the main display you run a chance of stressing your fish even more and that can lead to death even thought you may be treating them. I will suggest to go with the garlic and cleanner shrimp it really works.

I don't believe the cleaner shrimp will work, i want to eradicate it permanently. The shrimp can only get the ones on the fishes skin.

If you can't get the fish out, suck out the sand and daily water change for a month. Adding UV and/or Ozone also help.

Oh, I have cleaner shrimps as well, but I don't see my tangs going there for skin cleaning.

well like i said i read many stories that garlic x and cleaner shrimp do not work you need to qt the fish.so to make a believer out of me i figured i would give it a shot.i wanted a cleaner shrimp anyway.so i went and bought the GX and cleaner shrimp and i have not noticed any ick in my system in 9 months.i now just add my fish in and give them a nice dose of GX for 2 weeks then i keep the GX going with my everday feed just a very small amount.2 drops everyday.trust me i had a bad ick outbreak all my fish had it.

what do you mean by a "nice dose of GX" are you just dropping it into the tank water?

no...i soaked the food with 6 drops of the gx.now i only use 2 drops

duke my hippo has iche i gotta try the garlic i have 5 cleaner shrimp and a cleaner wrasse he is relentless at getting the paristes of the hippo so far he looks to be helping hime out
