Your paying for rarity, and its only worth getting if you can get a mated pair, one always looks so sad and lonely =0) I wouldn't spend that amount on one clown though, rare or not. IMO, the money is better spent on a rare fish that noone has that is caught once in a blue moon. But then it turns into fishing ethics vs captive bred mating ethics. Why support people that are inbreeding their clowns just to pop out 3 pairs of miscolored clowns a year without refreshing their mates other than using whatever offspring pair up? It kinda turns into the designer coral craze but with fish.
I have picasso's and they are awesome. But you can tell they are a little off beat than pure non inbred clowns. Their behaviors are different either because they are so far along in captive breeding or just for the fact that they are severly inbred offspring.
