hi guys i have a huge problem as everyone can c im selling my yellow tang cuz he was nipping at my kenya tree. i asked a couple of mh people and they said he might b wild caught.i brought him from stern hes 3inchs , i feed my tank mysis , cyclop ezz , and algea STRIPS. PLS TELL ME Y hes doing that? i want 2 get him out. can any one let me hold there trap? also he just took a big bite and took a piece of the stems.pls help.

how are your kenya trees placed in your tank... are they small enough to put a cut out bottom of a large soda bottle (with holes for flow) over it for a temp fix?

i have them placed on rocks. 1 of them grew on the rock

i think id have to agree with those ppl... maybe in the wild it was what it ate so instinct is probly taking place..

i dont know how 2 catch him . he goes behind my tank.

for now just try to cover the kenya tree and put some extra algae strips on the side of the tank farthest away from the kenya trees

your not going to be able to catch him without tearing up your rock work or a fish trap...

well i would say look for someone in ur area and ask to borrow one but no one has posted offering so i dont kno who u would ask... you can try a LFS

I never heard of YT nipping on healthy Kenya Tree only when its dying they will nip on the coral. Is your Kenya Tree healthy? Can you take a picture of the kenya tree.

Its just a kenya tree....

Let him nip on it.
He is not gonna eat the entire coral anyway.

if he is eating it, then he likes. If he likes it than y deprive him of it..?

Let him maintain the size of it, it will become a weed coral once it grows out.

hell no he aint eating it. before he tries to eat my kenya i rather flush him. i take care of all my corals and i aint having a fish destroy my corals .

i got that from MarineDepot. i saw some at petco union square a year ago.
