I've had 3 Jawfishes in my 50 gallon breeder for a little more then a year now.
I took a quick glance one day and saw my jawfish mouth swollen and wondered what was in its mouth...
Upon closer examination...saw lots of tiny eggs!
Then I realized.. wait! I can look under my tank and see its whole burrow. Since its mouth is empty when I feed it, it must release the eggs in its den and swim out to get food!
Took a quick snap!
SWEET!
Now.. how far along will the father continue to incubate the eggs? Will he eat them after they are free swimming?
