Agreed here, like chief said make sure the animals offered are on restricted or prohibited lists. However as far as FT selling animals to people with the proper setups and funds to maintain these animals is not there business and cannot refuse to sell to someone providing the customer has the money ready.
I own a business that at times I sometimes need to monitor my customers because certain items can be used for other reasons then intended. I tell my staff to try to ask questions without the customer getting offended, but if they see the customer is unresponsive, don't push it because we might loose that customer.
About 2 years ago I had a 18 year old girl walk into my store and wanted to by a item that I refused to sell her. Her father turned out to be a lawyer and sued me. The judge awarded her $2000 and stated that unless I was positively sure that the individual was using the item sold for illegal activities, then I must sell it with no questions asked.
I have a black tip shark. He is about 21 inches and presently living in a indoor pond that is about 10X10X24. I drove to Ohio to pick up the shark. I will be cleaning out my basement in the near future where we have non-sense stuff collecting dust, my daughters old toys, old pool table, etc to build a tank that will be about 16WX18LX5H(These measurements are in feet)because I know he will need a larger space within the next 8 months or so. I paid no where near what FT is asking for those sharks($2700+Shipping+Tax) and I would never consider owning a tiger shark or a white tip. I am happy with my one shark and that is where it stays and he eats alot. At present I am averaging about $5 to $7 a day in Shrimp, Sqiud, Flounder, Salmon, etc from the fish market. Imagine having a few, that is just crazy...
I do want a bottle nose dolphin, maybe oneday I will walk into FT and they have one for sale, LOL...
