Awi the only time my puffer puffs up is when my fiance approaches the tank with a towel on her head after whe gets out of the shower. They dont like that for some reason! :tub: It has only happened twice, both times the towel was on the head. I dont know why, I have just learned to accept this as my puffers reality.

Does your doggy sit in the rocks a lot? I've noticed that when mine isn't eating it either wedges itself in the rocks or a little cheeto bed I made for my cowfish.

Not really, he/she sleeps in or on the rocks, but usually it is swimming around or sitting on the sand next to me.

Dj, that is hilarious. Your fiancee towel head is scaring your poor puffer.lol

Those are neat fish Awilda.
In the the wild I've seen them as big as 2 ft.

I have only had smaller sharped nosed puffers, but I have to say they have the same personalities. Loveable dumb dog like fish. Mine was fine in the reef for a year until it randomly decided it liked Idaho grape monti and hydnophora. Poor fella, he is actually in ECFENCING's tank now.
Point of the story he puffed up once during a tank transfer and it took rubbing his belly and about 20 min for him to go back, I felt so guilty after the fact and he just spit water at me.

Puffer definately knows about it's keeper and tends to interact with the keeper. Mine recognise me(does not matter what I wear) vs other person 20 feet away.
