I've heard they are back on the market (e.g. JL Aquatics in Canada). Any US place have them?

It looks like the price is much higher now (several hundred). Still, this is cheap compared to a few years ago (1K+). I hope these are caught under better conditions though. The last batch had very few that survived from what I've seen (decompression issues).

I just saw them at my lfs. The guy there said he had 4 and that a pair already sold. There's still one available for $225 Canadian while the last one was put into the display reef. It's a really neat fish. I was considering it, but didn't want to spend the money on just one.

Yeah, I remember it now. Nico has one, doesn't he?

I'd be down for one of those in my 28.

Peace,

Chip

Yes, Len, they are back, pretty much everywhere right now. Though this time they are coming in really rough. I got four last week, only one made it and it has yet to eat. I got 9 juvis in 3 months ago that did great (1 1/2 inch)
the ones in now are much bigger.
I still have the one I got last Feb, but his colours have faded a lot.
Interesting that they maybe coming in from Taiwan, Sedgro, we were all led to believe some diver found them in Bali in a cave 60ft down.
Definitely seasonal though, the last big batch was this time last year...

Ya, i was wondering about how the collecting conditions were for this new batch. I didn't think last batch was particularly well-caught either, so if this new batch is worse off, I'm hesitant to buy my remaining borb a companion (at several times the juvie prices).

Are all the ones that came in about 3-4"?

I'm tempted to get one for my surviving borb, but I'm not sure I want to plop down that kind of money for a fish that might not be caught properly.

I'm considering getting some more myself to keep company with my one surviving one, but the price deters me a bit (it really shouldn't since they used to cost so much more).
