Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I have a problem in my tank, I found a DOA fish which is bad enough but the real trouble is it is stuck deep inside a pink birds nest coral. This coral is ab the size of a large melon and there is no way to dig it out - The fish is small, any suggestions?
Thanks

can inverts get to it ? How big is your tank water vol. ? If you can handle the bio load and inverts can ge in there leave it IMO. More then likely he died becuase he got stuck in there and the inverts should eat him with in a few hrs to a day

Angelo, I would need a tweezers ab 18" long!
xclusive, my tank is 90g w/ ab 60gal sump/fuge which after subtracting rock volume etc leaves ab 100g water so I agree w/ the premise that the tank can handle the bioload. It is buried deep in the coral and the coral is too big to take out (I couldn't get it around the center brace) Good job on reason for death - CSI!
Arnaldolex - Thanks for the suggestion but my family thinks my fish obsession is crazy enough, they do not need to see me dancing with a coral.

I guess it's is Thanksgiving for my inverts - although I'm still open to suggestions

Thanks all - I tried the siphon hose and just pushed it in deeper! The coral is very intricate, it's ab 5 years old and a fast grower. I may break down and cut the coral, I am doing a tank upgrade in May so the coral would have to get trimmed anyway. Just being lazy!
