My tangs handle it fine...the last time they showed signs were during the black out from sandy...as long as any fish is eating healthy with no other illnesses and in a stress free environment they'll be fine
+1 ... If I see them start scratching , I add some Stress Coat, turn off the skimmer, and they're fine!

You just answered your own question in your previous post.. I have 11 tangs w a handful of other fish.. Do what works for you..
I mean I can tell you are very educated from your posts... Smh.. I state facts... Go talk to a marine biologist..
Keep up being a wiseass behind a computer, if that makes u feel good about yourself.. I can't lower myself to that.. Maybe a 14 year old will come entertain this..

And.... Ich can live in a reef tank for a very long time w tangs fighting it off just fine... But in my tank I like it 100% ich free and I hope To keep it that way.. My Achilles is strong as ever never, had ich in qt then hypoed... When you have more fragile tangs and can keep them long term that's when you probably know a thing or two.. How many of you commenting in this thread have an Achilles in your tank ( just out of curiosity)

Anyway.. Double check ich life cycle.. A fish rubbing itself on a rock can be anything from ich to flukes.. These threads are made to be educational... If someone is wrong or does not agree you can post links to your argument or be a gentlemen.. I know that's hard for most people that are lacking in life I guess..gotta make up for it on a saltwater reef forum.. All the best..

i plan on an achilles once the upgrade build is done, as for ick no one said its impossible to be ick free however it is very difficult unless you plan on QTing literally everything to fish, nems, LR, LS, Frags, etc....larvae and eggs of ich can be clinging onto everything of the above so my original statement was and still is....if you are going to QT anything do everything or not at all because otherwise you wont rid all parasites including ich....any rock, sand, frag, nem need to be QT in a fallow tank for 12 weeks or so to let all larvae and eggs living on or inside them to die off and all fish must be treated as well even if there is no sign of disease since disease only tend to come out during periods of stress or illness...ive dont my research countless times on very large articles from published authors to little threads like these....i personally dont have the time, space, or resources at the moment to treat and QT everything coming in so I only pick up healthy specimens who are eating properly and do my best to keep them healthy and stress free
