I love the look of the leopard wrasse. Who has been able to keep them long term? What are you tips for doing that? Is there a specific part of the ocean that they come from that do best in our tanks? I want one, but will not get one until my tank is at least a year old. So I have lots of time to prep for it. Thanks.

I currently have a: 2 yellow line possum wrasse, 4 line wrasse, and a mystery wrasse. I use to have quite a few more until I added the Mystery.:( Thinking they died because of my neglecting the tank. I purchased a Solaris the other day, and the next day it was gone. I suspect the Mystery is the culprit here.

My pick would be the Radiant wrasse, beautiful, peaceable, and eats pest.;) Good luck Duke...

melanarus all the way, imo the best all around pest control wrasse, i have a yellow coris also which does a great job but the melanarus is a beast, havent seen it both snails or hermits and it knows better then to mess with my monster coral banded shrimp and hasnt touched my clam

The melanarus and yellow coris are both great to me. I have clams, snails, and skunk and blood shrimps. Although, I've added a much smaller skunk shrimp which got eaten.. so you definitely need to get shrimps way too large for them to eat. The "small" shrimp was probably 1/4 the size of the largest wrasse. The large shrimps are probably half the length of the wrasse. I also have a mystery, which is a little aggressive, but nothing compared to other people's stories.

the melanarus and the yellow coris are the "worker" wrasses for me. they both seem to like eating snails but i don't mind losing some snails for their services. never bother the cleaner nor the fire shrimps. had them with clams....never had problems.

the sixline is great for eating pest but it's a bully. it pestered the newly acclimated leopard wrasse to death.
