what was the total cost of your build?

see post # 12

Also, Thanks to olliefb (Raul), I used his multimeter to put the LED's on .95A.
I tested the PAR 5" from my Overdriven T5's to be around ~650 at the surface of the water.
I ran a test on the 35 LED's with 80 degree optics, at 5" away, came out to ~1200 PAR. :thrash:
I ran both tests at 5" because I don't have a way to put the LED's over my tank to measure under water PAR, so to be fair, I measured both at 5" away out of water.

I'll switch some 80 degree optics for 60 and 40's when it comes to real use so it'll be a little stronger even.
And the LED's actually does get only slightly warm but far from hot so I'll probably end up installing 4 fans on this giant heatsink on a very low speed.

I also used 4 pin molex from old computer parts as a quick disconnect between the meanwells and the LED like this, ofcourse I used only 2 out of 4 wires, but it still works fine:

Then I used the 3 wire fan for connecting the dimmer wires such as this, I also only used 2 wires:

Both of these are simply for quick disconnect purposes only. You could wire them up directly, it just might be a hassel later on if you need to take something down since they're all connected. This way I can also use trial and error if a driver or LED goes bad to see which part needs to be replaced.

You can buy small moon lights for 20 bucks on Ebay. Ming I'm very familiar with Evils LED builds, did you talk to him at all about the build? I haven't spoken to him for a few months but I know he was having a problem with bulbs and the dimmer also. Curious if he worked it out.

I didn't realize I never put a pic of the completed LED's. I did put it in a wooden frame which slides onto my canopy. This makes it a lot easier to remove in sections since they're not the most light fixtures.
I'll get a pic up soon
