vertex rx-4 calcium reactor noise

I have the vertex rx-4 and the recirculating pump makes a lot of noise and its getting annoying. Has anyone modded it or replaced it with a better pump?

It's the same problem I had you have to change the pump cause the noise u r hearing is the magnet on the prop inside it rusted and broke through the shield and it screwed up the well that it sits in good luck

what pump did you use ? and do you have the same reactor

Have same reactor and replaced it with same one. Got it from aqua cave I think it was like 55 bucks. B carefull with interior prop cause the spindle is ceramic and it breaks by just looking at it

I dont have the reactor but cant you replace it with any pump with the same GPH? I did it with my mini cal. I replaced it with a mag 3 because of the price and local availability. It had a eheim but no one carried eheims anywhere local.

I can but the way it is shaped for the plumbing I need to find something similar. If anyone knows please help me. Tyvm in advance
