What Paint To Use For Stand/Canopy?

Hey Everyone, I bought a used Aqueon Black Pine Stand and Canopy. It is in mainly good condition, but figured I give it a fresh coat of paint. I would like to still stick with black color. I would like to avoid sanding the whole thing, figured I just paint over it. Any specific paint recommended?

I would sand any rough spots to make sure you are painting a clean area. Painting over any salt can cause problems down the road.

i have a steel stand and used rustollium top coat, its made for salt environment but not sure about wood. its holding up well.
prime it and paint a color of your choice.

Sand carefully and then use this - I've used it on multiple stand and canopies and doesn't mildew and protects the wood underneath.
