Well Vic, your technique proved to be just as disasterous as my first attempt. I used The Original Super Glue Gel and The Aquamend. No flippin luck. At this point I realize that I am the weak link. Would anyone be willing to come over and show me how to do this?

I glue everything and anything with Super glue gel. It doesn't matter how big of a coral. This is what I do:

1 Apply a glob of glue to coral out of the water
2 Dip the coral part with glue in water for a sec and remove
3 Blow on the glue until a "skin" forms
4 Submerge coral in the tank and place on a rock.
5 twist the coral (glued part) on the rock until it grabs
6 smear any excees glue onto the rock to make a more secure bond.

How does that holdfast stuff work? Did you try that?

bigsink if you were closer I would have been happy to help out. It takes a bit of practice I guess I've been doing it for a while now so it's just easy for me. I too could glue it down with just the the gell but I find that the combination of the two works best. The epoxy fills in the gaps between the rocks and has a great hold.
